Being Faithful to the Original

Every project we design and build in the Fox Cities presents its own challenges.  For this particular home in downtown Appleton, we had a client that would struggle navigating uneven pavement.  Limestone was already a big part of the landscape and hardscape of this property, so whatever we were to build needed to stay true to the original landscape work that had been done.

So our design included raised planter beds similar to what you see above, and the pathways we created used a mix of tumbled pavers, snapped-face limestone and flagstone, but were built to tolerances that made navigation far easier for anyone who struggled with uneven surfaces or used a cane.
